December 16, 2007: Steven has had a busy few weeks performing in three more shows. First up was the Wynonna on Ice where he performed to "Heaven Help My Heart" and "Is It Over Yet." He said Wynonna was great and her performance was really inspirational. Next was Boitano's show in California where he performed his classic Tom Jones program to "Thunderball" and "It Never Rains In Southern California" by Barry Manilow. The show was outdoors and it was loads of fun for the cast. Lastly it was the Holiday Festival where he performed his programs first debuted at Holiday Celebration: "I Believe in Father Christma" and "Happy Elf" both to great crowd reponse. Steven next heads to Oberstdorf Germany for the Eisgala on December 30th and then he's got some time off until he heads back for Katarina Witt's Farewell Tour - see the Schedule page for tour dates.
November 22, 2007: Steven performed in Holiday Celebration on Ice on November 6th in Las Vegas. Steven's first number was "I Believe in Father Christma" by Greg Lake, a very lyrical piece. His second was just the opposite, a high energy silly piece to "Happy Elf" by Harry Connick Jr. The opening and closing numbers were also skated to Clay Aiken's live musical performance of "It's That Time of Year" and "What Are You Doing New Years Eve?." Holiday Celebration on Ice will air December 25th on NBC from 2:00 - 4:00 PM EST.
Next it was off to Atlantic City, NJ to perform in Fashion on Ice, where top designers provided the costumes. Steven's first number was a rocking piece "Chelsea Dagger" by The Fratellis. His costume was done by Heatherette and featured creme pants striped in teal and a teal t-shirt with a silk-screenen man's chest. An interesting look for sure. His second number was "Atlantic" by Keane that featured a different desinger (sorry, forgot who!) and consisted of dark blue jeans and a red checked shirt. Fasion on Ice will air January 20th on NBC from 4:00 - 6:00 PM EST
October 15, 2007: Steven and Elena would like to announce the birth of their son, Trysten Cousins. Mum and son are both very healthy and happy and both parents are enjoying their moments with their new baby. Steven would also like to thank the fans for their well wishes.

Steven turned out another excellent performance at the Michael Weiss Foundation benefit on Deptember 8th. He skated to "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" which of course got excellent audience response. Photos from both Kimmie and Mike's show have been added to the 2007 gallery.
August 30, 2007: Steven skated last weekend at Kimmie's Angels on Ice in Baltimore. He performed both his exhibitions to "Remember" and "Are You Gonna Be My GIrl?" The conditions were challenging with 105 degree weather outside and rather soft ice, but Steven skated very well. Photos from the show can be found in the gallery.
August 12, 2007 Steven turned in a great performance to "Remember" at the Mariposa Gala this past weekend. He's has also been added to Fashion on Ice in Atlantic City, NJ on November 17th, bringing his total up to four Disson shows. The bad news for Steven fans is that he has not been picked up for the Stars on Ice tour this year.
August 2, 2007 Steven will once again be performing in the Mariposa Gala. The 18th annual charity show will take place on August 9th in Barrie, Ontario. December 19, 2006
Another season of Stars on Ice got under way last month with a fantastic debut in Lake Placid and once again this year is a real treat for Steven fans as he's skating two solos. The first is a revamped version of Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" (originally skated on the 2004 Canadian SOI tour). The piece is a high energy song that's pure fun that showcases Stevens dancing and charisma. His second number is to the ballad "Remember" by Josh Groban and is a very emotional program. Fans in attendance say this could become another Steven classic. The show opens with music from the Superman soundtrack and the first half closes to a comedy number entitled "Peace, Love, Skating" that features radical sixties costumes and wigs! The second half opens with "The Heist" a jewel robbery mystery piece and this half also includes another guys only baseball number "Swing." After all of this excitement the show finally closes with "I Believe I Can Fly" Be sure to check the tour schedule for a show near you. Check out the photo gallery for 70 new photos from Steven's events this season.
November 22, 2006: Steven Cousins, Todd Eldredge and Jennifer Robinson will perform at the Bryant Park Tree Lighting in New York City on Tuesday, November 28 at 7:00 pm. Come watch these skaters as they light the Christmas Tree at Bryant Park. Located at 42nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues.
October 26, 2006 It's been a incredibly busy two weeks for Steven with performances in the first three Disson shows of the season. First up was Halloween on Ice in Springfield, MA on October October 8th. For this show each skater took on a scary alter-ego and stayed in character for the entire show. Steven was a very convincing Dracula - all elegance and terror. Steven's first solo was fittingly the theme from Bram Stroker's Dracula and his second number was a version of his "Superstitious" program with Mannheim Steamroller providing a new arrangement. He also did a program with Nancy Kerrigan called "Crazy ABout You" that was Dracula pursuing the girl. Steven also participated in several group numbers including a rollicking version of "The Monster Mash," "Creatures of the Night / Psycho" and "The Mummy Walk."
Next Steven was off to Toronto for Kurt Browning's Gotta Skate 6.0 performed almost entirely by the Bare Naked Ladies. Steven's first number was last season's Stars on Ice number, "Superstitious" only skated in black pants and a red patterned shirt. For his second number Steven skated to "Wind It Up" played live by the Bare Naked Ladies. It's a high energy number and as Kurt introduced Steven he said that when the band was going over what skaters went with what numbers, they were unanimous in wanting Steven to skate to this song - and boy were they right. It's high energy was a perfect fit for Steven. Rounding out the show Steven was in a guy's group number to "Sunny" (a tribute from Kurt to his wife Sonia) and the finale to "One Week." It was obvious that the skaters were having a fabulous time with the band and Steven's smile in the finale was a joy to behold.
Then it was off to Las Vegas for the Holiday Celebration on Ice, where Steven debuted two new holiday themed programs. The first was "This is Christmas" by Luther Vandros, a nice ballad style program. Next was "Carol of the Bells" by Celtic Woman and it was a fantastic number for Steven. A tune with a good beat to it that allowed Steven to include a high speed straightline footwork sequence. Steven also skated in group numbers to "Winter Wonderland / Let it Snow" (featuring a fun little snowball fight) and "Jingle Bells."
Be sure to set your Tivo's to catch the shows at the following times:
Kurt Browning's Gotta Skate 6.0: Dec 17th 2006, 4-6pm NBC

March 15, 2006: Steven has answered a new set of fan questions - lots of great anwsers. For those hoping to see Steven with the Canadian Stars on Ice tour again this year, unfortunately Steven will not be on the tour. But on the up side, events are starting to take shape for next season. The Disson skating shows' dates and locations have been announced and while cast lists are not confirmed yet, Disson says Steven is again on the list for skater to appear. Though no appearances have been set in stone, the Loveland paper is advertising Steven for the Brian Boitano Skating Spectacular on December 16th. Normally an unconfirmed event would not be mentioned, but tickets are going on sale March 31st ($45 and $55) and Steven has appeared in previous Boitano specials, so just a heads-up there. And as one more bonus there's a new puzzle in the Fan Corner!

December 29, 2005: Steven skated in his last Disson special of 2005, Brian Boitano's Skating Spectacular, on December 17th in Las Vegas. Taped for telelvision, the Skating Spectacular will be on NBC on New Year's Day. Steven was in both the opening, skated to Fever, and the finale (performed live by Richard Marx and his band) set to an 80's medley of Richard Marx hits. For his solo numbers, Steven skated to his Stars on Ice number Superstitious, and for his second solo he had a new number to Pretty Vegas by INXS. Both numbers highlighted Steven's trademark high energy, high wattage smile and his killer dance moves. And his triple flip was rock solid in both programs. From here Steven heads out on tour with Stars on Ice after New Year's.
There have bveen quiet a few requests for more information on Steven's program at Holiday Celebration in on Ice. The song "Psalm 13" is by Brian Doerksen on his album You Shine.
December 14, 2005: Steven started out December in London, Ontario for the World Team Chalenge, one of the few pro competitions still around. He was on team Europe with Oksana Baiul and Kovarikova & Novotny and while team Europe finished fourth, Steven finished third among the men. His technical program was to "Come Back To Bed" where he turned in a solid performance complete with 3flip, 3toe and 2axel. His artistic program was his classic "Belfast Child" which given both the solid technical tricks (3flip, 3toes, spins) and excellent choreography and emotions should have received straight tens from the judges. But while the judges may have been lax, the crowd certainly wasn't, giving Steven a loud ovation. Next Steven headed south to Richmond, Virginia for the Holiday Celebration on Ice where he turned in two stunning performances. The first was to "Brass Bed" performed live by Josh Gracin and the second was to "Psalm 13." Both were lyrical and emotional programs that brought some of the loudest ovations of the night. Steven is now off to Vegas for Boitano's Skating Spectacular.
December 3, 2005: For Steven fans now is the time to go and see the US Stars on Ice tour as for the first time Steven is performing, not one, but two solo numbers. For this year's tour, some skaters were aksed to bring out older classic programs and Steven chose "Belfast Child," a number he first performed in 1998. It's classic Steven and still a beautiful program all these year's later. Steven's second number is to "Superstitious" by Stevie Wonder. It's a funky 70s tune and the program is full of footwork and 70's grooviness! STeven is also part of each of the group numbers and this year's tour has five: "Lovely Sping / I'd Do Anything For Love," "Dance Medley," "Overture / Comedy Tonight," "Too-Me Tango," and "Sing Sing Sing." It's lots of Steven on the ice!
Steven to skate in Britian!

October 26, 2005: Steven has had a busy month with performances in three different shows. First was Evening With Champions in Boston where he turned in an excellent performance of "The Tender Trap." Skating fans in attendance siad they thought this program might be Steven's best yet. Next Steven was off to Atlanta for the Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular where he turned in another good performance of "The Tender Trap," even when having to navigate around the gymnastics apparatus. Finally it was up to Toronto for Kurt Browning's Gotta Skate V. Unfortunately for Steven there were music clearance problems and he had to use a different version of "The Tender Trap," and while it was not quite as snappy as the Sammy Davis Jr. version Steven still had a good skate. Then came the highlight - "It's Impossible" with Andrea Bocelli performing it live. This was classic Steven and was full of passion and drama - definitely a performance to look for on the broadcast. And as an even better bonus, Bocelli wasn't happy with his vocals and so he and Steven did the whole program again in retakes. That was definiately a retake worth staying for!
Octber 1, 2005: There's one more event on Steven's schedule - he'll be performing at the Scott Hamilton CARES charity gala in Cleveland on November 5th. Complete details on the schedule page. Steven has also debuted one new program this season, "The Tender Trap" by Sammy Davis Jr. He skated this number along with "Come Back To Bed" at the Thunder Bay and Sun Valley shows. Good news for everyone who wanted Steven to keep doing the Stars on Ice journal - he'll be doing a smaller version here on the site once the tour starts!
August 17, 2005: Steven started out his season with bang, turning in an excellent performance of "Come Back to Bed" at the Mariposa Gala. He's also added another event to his schedule, replacing John Zimmerman in the Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular in Atlanta on October 12th. Also another Stars on ICe cast member has been announced - Jennifer Robinson will be joining the US tour this year.
July 15, 2005: Great news! Steven will once again be appearing on the Smuckers Stars on Ice tour! Full tour dates will be released later this summer but opening date will be November 26th in Lake Placid, NY. The tour then recomences in Jan to begin a cross-country tour that averages about 70 cities. Steven will also be appearing again in the Harvard Evening With Chapions show on October 14th and 15th.
June 27, 2005 Three more events have been added to Steven's schedule for the upcoming season. First is the annual Mariposa Gala on August 4th, then on September 19th it's The Ice Show in Thunder Bay and on Dec 7th it's the Holiday Festival on Ice in Richmond. And some new photos added to the 2001 Gallery!
June 4, 2005: Steven's schedule for the 2005-2006 season is starting to take shape with several shows and a series of seminars already confirmed with more to come. See the schedule page for details. Also Steven has answered another batch of fan questions!
March 17, 2005: Good news for Steven's fans in Canada - he's been added to the Canadian Stars on Ice tour. Dates and locations are listed on the Schedule page. Also the 2005 gallery is now open with photos from the US Stars on Ice tour.
December 19, 2004: It's been an incredibly busy few weeks for Steven with performances in four shows in 3 states and two countries! Steven of course performed fantastically in all of them! First up was opening night of Stars on Ice in Lake Placid. A big treat for Steven fans is that Steven finally gets to do a ballad on tour! This year it's John Mayer's "Come Back to Bed," and for those who worry a ballad may not have the same sex appeal as Steven's previous high-energy numbers, he does start this one shirt-less! In addition to his solo and the opening ("Pure Imagination") and the finale ("Dream On") Steven has parts in four ensemble numbers! The first is a guys-only "TKO" that's like a 1920s boxing match, the second is the big group number "The Ride of Life," and then there are two smaller group numbers "Blue Sky" and "Step-Sisters." Stars is obviously making good use of Steven and fan response has been very positive so far!
Then it was Holiday Celebration on Ice in Norfolk, Virginia. Steven skated two Christmas numbers, the first to "Let It Snow" by Harry Connick Jr. and the second to "The Christmas Song" by Hootie and the Blowfish. The first was a light-hearted number and the second was more introspective. Next up was Kenny Loggins on Ice in Binghampton New York, where Loggins and his band played the entire show live. Steven's first number there was to "It's About Time" which was an up-temp rock song. Near the end of the performance Steven jumped on-stage and grabbed a tambourine and played onstage before taking it back to the ice to finish his routine with it. He second solo was to the slower classic "Danny's Song" and featured lots of gorgeous long edges as well as the unique scratchspin with one arm off at an agle over his head that's unique to Steven. At the Loggins show Steven was also in a small group number to "The One That Got Away," a sad sort of ballad. Steven's acting lessons paid off as of the skaters on ice you really got a sense of mood from his presence that just didn't happen for the others. In addition to skating at both shows, Steven was the assistant choreographer and helped LeAnn Miller put together the show.
Steven then headed across the ocean to Germany for Katarina's Enjoy the Stars shows where he skated "Come Back to Bed" and "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" As always Steven was a big hit with the German fans. Then it was back to Las Vegas, Nevada for Boitano's Skating Spectacular. There he performed his Stars on Ice number "Come Back To Bed" as well as a new number to "The Tender Trap." Steven's holidays this year will be spent in the tropics as he's joining his wife on the cruise ship she's skating on. After a much-to-short rest he'll be off to Japan for two Stars on Ice shows and then the US tour begins! Be sure to check out the rest of the site - lots of new photos and reviews!
November 16, 2004: Earlier this month Steven performed at Scott Hamilton CARES benefit show. He performed his solo to "Are You Gonna Be My Girl", assisted Roz Sumners with "De-Lovely" and was in the finale to "Rock-n-Roll" by LeAnn Rimes. You can see some photos of Steven from the reception in the Stars on Ice Photo Gallery. Steven is currently in Lake Placid, NY for Stars on Ice rehearsals and reports are that the cast is working hard at all hours of the day. Even though he's busy there Steven took some time to answer another bunch of fan questions!
Steven made his first Disson show appearance of the year at Katarina Witt and Friends in Trenton, NJ on OCtober 10th. Steven's first solo was a slower ballad to "Because You Loved Me" with singer Jo Dee performing it live. The program was full of long edgers, spirals, lunges plus the great Russian-split into 3toe into Russian-split into 3toe sequence. His second number was to the upbeat "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet which had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand. The show's opening number was "New Day" performed live by Patti LaBelle and was a basic intro-the-skaters setup. The finale was a more involved production to "Do You Love Me Medley" and featured some cute interactions between Steven and Katarina. Check out the gallery for lots of photos from the show!
October 10, 2004: Steven performed in back-to-back shows in different countries this past week! First was the Montreal stop of Brasseur & Eisler's Farewell Show where he performed "Philadelphia" and "Are You Gonna Be My Girl." Then it was off to Boston for the Evening of Champions where Steven performed his signature "Belfast Child", landed a 2flip, 3toe and 3toe and is reportedly looking very fit. Check the Reviews page for a complete show review and photos by Sandra.
September 30, 2004: Answers, we've got answers! Steven has taken the time to answer a set of fan questions - follow the link under "About Steven" to read them. If possible Steven's going to be even busier this season! The cast of Stars on Ice is going to Japan for two shows in January and Steven will be performing in Katarina's show Enjoy the Stars on Germany in early December. Unfortunately he's no longer going to skate at the World Team Challenge. Full details, plus new information on the fall club show Fall Festival on Ice can be found on the Schedule page.
September 26, 2004: You've asked for it, you've got it! Simply Steven is happy to open a message board for fans to talk about Steven. Click the "Message Board" link under "Fan Corner" at the top. Steven has been added to the Scott Hamilton & Friends show which has been re-scheduled to November 6th. Also the full Stars on Ice schedule has been released and is listed on the Schedule page. And good news for those who loved Steven's Tour Diary for Stars on Ice, it's back again at starsonice.com
August 10, 2004: Hooray! Steven will once again be touring with the U.S. version of Stars on Ice! A big thank you to all the folks who wrote letters asking to see him back on tour. The tour opens in Lake Placid on November 27th and will tour the US from January 2, 2004 - Apr 10, 2005. A full schedule hasn't been released yet, but some stops are on pre-sale through ticketmaster. Scott Hamilton CARES has been rescheduled to November 9th and Steven will no longer be able to skate due to SOI rehearsals.
Steven also made his first skating appearance of the season at the Mariposa Gala on August 5th. For so early in the season he was looking in great shape landing several triple-toes and a huge triple flip among others as well as a full compliment of spins and footwork. His first number was to "Philadelphia" and the second was an unknown piece of music (though possible an older program). Steven also put in a lot of work behind-the-scenes, helping several of the younger skaters put their programs together and working on choreography for the group numbers. Go Steven! (thanks to Sherry for the info.)
June 20, 2004: The 2004 gallery is now open with photos from Canadian Stars on Ice including Steven's solo "Are You Gonna Be My Girl."

The movie is a "mockumentary" look at amateur figure skating and also features fellow skaters Scott Hamilton and Kristi Yamaguchi.
February 6, 2004: On January 30th, Steven and his wife Kristina taught a skating clinic at the rink in Parry Sound where his brother Paul is a coach. Steven focused on teaching jumps and spins while Kristina worked on moves in the field and proper positioning. There's a nice article and photo from the seminar here. Also Steven will be performing in the club show "Stars on Ice" at the Bobby Orr Community Centre in Parry Sound on February 15. For fans there are now two more wallpapers up on the site.
January 17, 2004: It's a bit last minute notice, but Steven will be skating in the Winter Ice Spectacular in Elmira, NY tomorrow night. Tickets are still available from firstarena.com
January 11, 2004: Steven finished out 2003 with a flurry of events. On the 20th he was in Brian Boitano's show in Vegas and it seemed he was always on the ice. On top of solo's to "Disco Science" and "Under the Bridge," he was also in five group numbers! And apart from some frightening pants for the "DS" number he was looking good and skating even better. Following that, Steven was off to Europe for a series of Holiday galas there. No word on the specific numbers though.
December 13, 2003: Steven was a last minute replacement for Jeff Buttle at the Holiday Festival on Ice in Toronto last week. For his first number he brought back "It's About that Walk" and in the second half he skated to the Christmas classic "Silent Night." He also skated in the opening "Joy To The World" and closing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" performed by the Toronto Children's Choir. Steven is also scheduled for some galas in Europe at the end of December.
December 5th, 2003: Steven competed in the all-pro World Team Challenge this week, and unfortunately he seemed to be having some difficulty with the jumps. He was up against Todd Eldredge, Alexei Yagudin and Kurt Browning, which meant that every single thing was needed. He finished fourth overall.
